Manage sessions and projects

Organize research conversations, manage projects, and resume work across sessions.

Sessions and projects

Each conversation is a session. Open the switcher from the session title in the top bar. Start a session with Alt+N or the switcher's New Session button. Select a session to resume it; the switcher loads more sessions as you scroll.

Search matches session titles, research questions, recent message previews, and metadata. Search results replace the grouped view; clear the query to return to it. The default list groups starred sessions, project sessions, and ungrouped sessions. Archived sessions are in a separate collapsible section.

  • Star sessions you want at the top of the list.
  • Rename a session from its row. Empty names are not saved.
  • Move a session into a project or back to No project.
  • Archive a session to move it out of the active groups. Open Archived to restore it.
  • Delete a session permanently. If it is open, Mizura returns to the home workspace.

Create projects from the switcher toolbar, rename them from their section, and collapse sections to keep the list manageable. Deleting a project moves its sessions to No project; it does not delete those sessions. Multi-select supports moving, starring or unstarring, archiving or unarchiving, and deleting several sessions together.

To organize one session, select its row menu, choose an action, and check the row for the updated title, star, project, or archive status. To delete it, choose Delete and confirm the named session; deletion is permanent. If you cannot find a session, clear the search, check Archived, and load more results before assuming it was removed.

Sessions and analysis

A session can begin as a conversation and later have a dataset attached. Loading a dataset does not send a message or start analysis; send a prompt when you are ready. See Workflow & plans for how turns run and Your data for supported data sources.

The default limit is eight concurrent analyses; the server can be configured to use another limit or no limit. If the configured limit is reached, a new turn is refused until capacity is available. Deleting a session and deleting a project are different actions: session deletion removes that conversation, while project deletion only ungroups its sessions.
